Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 15, 2026  ·  Effective immediately  ·  Questions? Contact us
The short version: All tools on Habitlio run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or process any text or data you enter. Your information never leaves your device.

1 Who We Are

Habitlio ("we", "us", "our") operates habitlio.com — a free collection of browser-based utility tools. We are committed to being transparent about what data we do and don't collect, and to giving you meaningful control over your privacy.

2 What We Do NOT Collect

Every tool on Habitlio runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. We never transmit, log, store, or process any text, numbers, or personal data you enter into our tools. There are no servers that receive your input. Your work stays on your device.

Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Text or content you type into our tools
  • Passwords you generate using our password generator
  • Health data entered into our BMI or age calculators
  • Financial data entered into our loan, tip, or discount calculators
  • Text or links you turn into QR codes, or any Base64 you encode or decode
  • Your name, email address, or any account information

3 Data Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may collect standard server log data when you visit a page. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, referring page URL, and the pages you visited. This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis.

This data is not linked to your identity, is not used for profiling, and is not sold to third parties.

4 Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing history and interests across the web.

Google's advertising partners may collect information about your visits to this and other websites. You can manage or opt out of personalized ads at any time:

  • Google Ads Settings
  • Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
  • How Google uses partner site data

5 Cookies

Habitlio itself does not set cookies for tracking or analytics. However, Google AdSense may set cookies on your device as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the functionality of our tools, since they do not depend on cookies.

6 Third-Party Links

Our blog and pages may occasionally link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

7 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Habitlio is a general-purpose utility site directed at a general audience, not specifically at children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.

Because our tools run entirely in your browser and we do not require accounts, registration, or any personal information to use them, the risk of inadvertently collecting a child's personal data is minimal by design. However, third-party advertising (see Section 4) may still apply non-personalized or contextual ads on pages viewed by any visitor, including minors, in accordance with Google's own policies for child-directed treatment where applicable.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information through the contact form or email, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information without delay.

8 Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, for residents of the EU/UK), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, for California residents), or similar privacy laws elsewhere. Because the tools on Habitlio do not collect personal data from you directly, most of these rights apply to the limited advertising and server-log data described above rather than to anything we hold ourselves.

Where applicable, these rights generally include the right to:

  • Know what categories of data are collected about you and how they are used
  • Access a copy of any personal data held about you
  • Delete personal data we or our advertising partners hold, subject to legal exceptions
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising (CCPA)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data (GDPR)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

To exercise advertising-related rights directly with Google, visit adssettings.google.com or the opt-out links in Section 4. For any other request — including questions about server logs or this policy — contact us and we will respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.

9 Security

Since your tool data never leaves your browser, it is inherently protected from server-side breaches. We use HTTPS to secure the connection between your browser and our servers, protecting any information in transit (such as page requests).

10 Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Habitlio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11 Contact

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us or email us at hello@habitlio.com. We take privacy seriously and will respond promptly.
